Jamais Contant号 ジャメ・コンタント, EVをとりまく環境. ジャメ・コンタント号がフランスのアシュレで時速106kmを記録し、この記録は1902年（明治35年）まで破られなかった。数年前にバッテリーを交換したが、100年以上経った今でも走行可能だった。

ジャメ・コンタント号がフランスのアシュレで時速106kmを記録し、この記録は1902年（明治35年）まで破られなかった。数年前にバッテリーを交換したが、100年以上経った今でも走行可能だった。 内燃機関自動車は開発の初期段階で技術的に未熟なため、速度記録は全て電気自動車が記録を独占、欧米では電気自動車が最盛期を迎えた。特にアメリカでは、1900年（明治33年）頃、自動車生産台数は約4,000台で、そのうち電気自動車が約40％を占めた削除

Driver

The vehicle was driven by Camille Jenatzy, a Belgian. Camille was the son of Constant Jenatzy, a manufacturer of rubber products, rubber was still a novelty at the time. Camille had studied as an engineer, with an interest in electric traction automobiles.削除
