走行後エンジンを止めて、5分前後程度しての始動がわるい。
クランキングの時間が長いとか、時にアクセルワークを併用して始動するなど、キュルン一発始動とはならないケース。
燃圧保持、も指摘されたりする。残圧点検
加えて、パーコレーションの発生条件なども注意する必要もある。
どの程度雰囲気温度が上がっている可能性があるのかなど
ちなみに、RF3で少なくても2件似た傾向のものがあったようなので、車種の傾向にも注目してみたいが、
少なくても残圧が急速に低下すると配管内の燃料が加熱されやすい傾向があるとよりそれが加速され、
パーコレーションの状態が起きやすくなる。一度その状態になるとリターンレスではそのガス化した燃料が排除されるまで時間がかかる車のケースでは始動に影響が出る可能性はあるのだろう。
セダンでもVOLVO S40で似た傾向を示すものが1件記憶に残っているが、これも夏季など条件が厳しい状況だった。

少なくても2つの条件がそろってしまうケースで起きやすい。
１つの条件ならどの車でも起きそうなので、
もしある種の傾向があればいくつかの悪い条件がかかわっているとみたほうが理解しやすいのかもしれない。
始動性
1秒以内なら正常（燃料噴射なら）
ここでも微妙な違いがあるのでデータを取ってみるとよいだろう。いまでは診断機があるので試してほしいものです。
何もない時は以下の感覚でどうだろうか
１）キュル（クランキングの感覚）、プルン（完爆の感覚）
２）キュル、キュル、プルン
３）キュル、キュル、キュル、プルン
日頃の始動感覚を覚えておくとよいだろう
キーＳＷの回す癖もあるので、ST位置からのアクセスを短時間でいかに戻せるかがポイントにも
なる。
これが比較できると、何らかの兆候の手掛かりともなる。
ここでキュルンの時間的間隔、感覚も問題となる。
始動（完爆）しても長くクランキングしているケースなどもみかけるが、その場合
ここを理解していただくには説明が長くなったりして困る。
5秒前後以上なら始動性が悪い
明らかに正常との違いがあるので、違和感を感じるだろう。

Fuel pressure regulator. They go bad on those cars.

I second that, fuel pressure regulator.
I know someone with an S40 and his went bad. Also its reported under a common problem on repairpal.com.

long crank time when cold title says it all, I am having issues with extended crank time when started first thing in the morning or after sitting for a few hours. My first thought is fuel pump not holding pressure KOEO but found thats not the case. what else can cause this? regulator?
oh and its an 86 22re.

1990 Cherokee, 4.0 liter. Two minutes crank time, have changed distributor (reman), swapped computer, have spark (weak), have swapped ignition control module and coil, have checked timing chain, fly wheel was replaced (cracked), pick up sensor is new.
