Error code B14A1... wth is it?
So, last night I had to clear P0420, which was no trouble, but this odd other code: b14a1 showed up also. I googled for it and only got one hit about it, from here, and all it was was someone saying that it was a "shit code", and that was it.

So, what is the code for? Why was it thrown? It's not a code which throws a CEL, I know that much.

TechStream Error Code B14A1
I just got my Chinese TechStream from ebay and hooked up to my BRZ Limited to adjust a couple of settings. I did a diagnostics and I got a B14A1 Open in Solar Sensor Circuit for my AC unit. I assume this ups the AC when there is a lot of sun going into the car. Has anyone else seen this error code on their BRZ with TechStream?

Since you're using the knockoff cable I'm not sure I would trust this. They're not all that reliable, and do have some compatiability issues. Are you actually having a problem, or just concerned because you got the error?削除

Yeah, it could be the cable, but everything else is working as normal with the TechStream software and cable. I had noticed when I first got the car during summer that it always felt like the AC system was blowing air hotter than it should. Now I think I know why. I will have the dealer check it out the next time I have it in for something else.削除

Yes, I have seen it as well. From a little research it's nothing to worry about.

http://www.justanswer.com/lexus/1jq9...purchased.html

Apparently it's very common on Toyota-sourced vehicles with auto climate control. It's just a nuisance or ghost code. The ECU is registering an open circuit when there is so little light that the sensor reads 0 anyways. Mine went away the next day when I checked again in sunlight instead of nighttime.

C1424 Subaru Auto Trouble Code

C1424 Subaru OBD2 reports a sensor fault, replacement of the sensor is unlikely to resolve the underlying problem. The fault is most likely to be caused by the systems that the sensor is monitoring, but might even be caused by the wiring to the sensor itself.

Remove the air filter box assembly so you can access the transmission range switch. Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the vehicle. Move the shifter to the neutral position. Align the alignment holes between the switch and the shift lever. Insert a 5mm drill bit into the adjustment hole to verify the proper alignment for the neutral position.削除

I live in Massachusetts.

I have a 2014 FXT Touring with remote start that has 2500 miles. I've had 5 "hard starts" over the past 2 months of owning the car. Things got very interesting on my drive home from work last night: just driving down the road at ~40 MPH my dash lit up like a christmas tree with check engine lights.

There were 3 errors on the center console LCD screen:

2) the up hill assit needs checking (corresponding light)
3) the vehicle stability assist needs checking (corresponding light)

In addition the drive mode was not able to be changed, and the "[S]" of the drive mode icon was blinking, alternating with a timer icon blinking by the mileage display.削除

Needless to say I was very alarmed, stopped the car. Turned the engine off and back on. Warnings all came back on blinking. But the car drove fine.

I woke up and got to my local Subaru dealer first thing this morning. They were able to take my car immediately. I explained that I had the 5 "hard starts", I had printed the above quoted post from shockwave and presented that to the service person. A technician looked at the car for a couple hours and they determined:削除

4) they reset my current ECM and the car is back to functioning like normal -- they said the tech feels it is safe to drive.. but that if I have any problems or don't feel comfortable driving the car to contact them.

As alarming as all of this is to experience with a brand new car: overall I'm very encouraged by the response I got from my local Subaru service. It seems they are taking the issue head-on. I'll update this post as things progress.

Subaru Forester C1424 Engine Trouble Code

Subaru Forester C1424 if your catalytic convertor fails completely, you eventually won't be able to keep the car running. Your gas mileage will also be terrible, so you should try and fix it as soon as you can. Unfortunately, the average replacement cost is around $2,000 and you can't do it yourself unless you're an experienced mechanic.

Subaru Forester C1424 Possible Solution :

The crankshaft sensor signals the fuel injection computer or the ignition control when the cylinders are firing. This causes the ignition coil to provide a spark and the injector to inject fuel into each cylinder at the right time.削除

If either sensor isn't working correctly, the car will run rough and the engine will be less efficient. In later car models, the car's computer can usually keep the vehicle running, but the engine warning light on the dashboard goes on to warn the driver.削除

01 UNDERSTANDING DTCS AND HOW TO PROCEED PROPERLY WITH REPAIRS

The Techline has been receiving calls from Technicians who in some cases are following the wrong
trouble tree when diagnosing DTCs. When a vehicle comes in with multiple codes stored, you should
always look at the Freeze-Frame (FF) data and the Time Count PID first.

This will be the best place to
get a direction as to what the first DTC to set in the affected system was. Never clear any DTCs until
all have been recorded and the corresponding FF data saved electronically.
In the example below, a customer could come in with a traction (VDC) light, Check Engine light and
A/T Temp light on. If the root cause issue is not current, they could come in with no warning lights on
at all. The Technician connects the SSM and the following DTCs are stored:削除

VDC code C1424 (ECM failure): DTC indicates there is a code in the ECM.
ECM code P0700 (AT request MIL on): DTC indicates there is a code in the TCM.
• TCM code P0841 (Secondary Pressure Sensor malfunction): This DTC is the root-cause
issue and should be the code the Technician diagnoses first.削除

In this case, the other codes (C1424 and P0700) are secondary codes. The TCM informed the other
control modules of its failure by setting the P0841. Whenever a control module has an issue and
stores a DTC, there is a strong possibility of DTCs in other modules due to the interdependence of one
system on another through operation of the high-speed CAN system.削除

2017/1/6(金) 午後 6:14ogw*og*3 ]返信する

You may also see CAN communication codes stored. These DTCs should be interpreted as
secondary or by-product codes unless no other codes are stored. Always check each system for
DTCs as once the issue has subsided, the only place you will see the DTC is in the affected system.
An All-System scan will only provide current codes which in the example above, would be the C1424.削除

The circuit most often used to communicate with is known as Controller Area Network bus communications, or simply put, CAN bus. First, note if there are any other diagnostic fault codes. If any of them are bus communication related, vehicle identification number (VIN) related or battery / ignition related, diagnose them first. Misdiagnosis has been known to occur if you diagnose the U0155 code before any of the basic codes have been thoroughly diagnosed and dismissed. If your scan tool can access fault codes and the only one you get from other modules is the U0155, try to talk to the IPC module.削除

If you can access codes from the IPC module, then the U0155 code is either intermittent or a memory code. If unable to talk to the IPC module, then the U0155 code that the other modules are setting is active, and the problem is there now.削除

The most common failure is loss of power or ground. Check all fuses that power up the IPC module on this vehicle. Check all grounds for the IPC module. Locate where the ground attaching points are on the vehicle and make sure that these connections are clean and tight. If you have to, take them off, get a small wire bristle brush and baking soda/water solution and clean each one, both the connector and where it connects.削除

If any repairs were made, clear the diagnostic trouble codes from all the modules that set the code in memory, and see if the U0155 code returns or if you are able to talk to the IPC module. If the code does not return or communication is re-established with the IPC module, then the fuses/connections were most likely your problem.削除

If the code returns, locate the CAN bus communication connections on your particular vehicle, most importantly the IPC module connector, which is behind the instrument panel. Disconnect the negative battery cable before unplugging the connector at the IPC module. Once located, visually inspect the connectors and wiring. Look for scraping, rubbing, bare wires, burn spots or melted plastic.削除

Pull the connectors apart and carefully inspect the terminals (the metal parts) inside the connectors. See if they look burned or have a green tint indicating corrosion. Before connecting the connectors back to the IPC module, make these few voltage checks. You will need to have access to a digital volt-ohmmeter (DVOM). Verify that you have power and ground at the IPC module. Gain access to a wiring diagram and determine where the main powers and grounds come into the IPC module. Reconnect the battery before continuing, with the IPC module still disconnected.削除
