ブレーキの作業も、HV:で大きく変化しているが、他の車種でも
大きく変貌しつつあるので注意が必要で、古典的な基本作業も大切だが、それに加えて個別な対応が指示されたりする。

IPDM replaced.
Had my wife's Patty towed to the dealer with textbook symptoms of failed ECM relay. The dealer came up with a different story. According to them, the IPDM is not sending any signal to the fuel pump.

I did not have the time to deal with it and authorized replacement of the IPDM. $ 660.00 total, the part was $ 426.00 I'm ordering a spare IPDM from the internet for $ 300.00 and have it ready for next time. I also have the old part which still have the old relays. This car is getting expensive to operate with only 40,000 miles on it. And yes, the timing chain is getting noisier.

Starting problems
My Armada has been having intermittent starting problems for the last 6 months. I'll start by saying I have already reviewed the issues with the fuel sending unit/fuel pump, and I'm not convinced this is the problem. For starters, it is a 2004 with 43000 miles on it. The battery is new with a good charge.

So here's what we have been experienceing: Once in a while it simply doesn't want to fire up. It cranks over very well, but acts like it doesn't have a spark or it doesn't have fuel. Then after multiple attempts it will finally start and then run rough for a moment, then runs like a champ, no hesitation at all.

This has happened maybe 20 times. About 10 times it has stalled out at the intersection when starting to accelerate, but then started back up. This has occured after the engine was well warmed up. Every time it has had plenty of fuel (based on recent fill ups, not just the fuel gauge). The fuel has come from several different retailers, the same ones I use for my 2007 Titan, which has never had any problems.

I have also run several batches of injector cleaner throught the system. Also, we have never had an SES light after a failure to start, and the dealership couldn't find any codes either.

So onto the current problem: For the last 2 days we have not been able to get it started (until tonight). I checked 3 plugs, and they were wet with fuel, and they looked in good condition. Then I checked for spark. On the driver side the front and rear coils were not producing spark, but the 2 middle ones were (I used the same spark plug for all tests).

On the passenger side the front coil had spark, the middle 2 did not, then when checking the passenger rear coil the engine fire up and began running on all cylinders (except the one that was disconnected). I rechecked and now had spark to all coils. I am assuming that I was somehow in "safe mode" and somehow reset it with the last coil check.

So I hooked the rear plug back up and fired the motor up and let it run. It ran for about a minute and then died. It was showing an SES light before it died. Not sure if it was because I had the intake disconnected from the throttle body. So I hooked it back up and tried again. No luck. I found the code to be #1122 (ETC Function/circ), which I reset.

After about a half hour I got it to start again, and the SES light stayed off. It ran for about 20 minutes fine, then died again. No codes in memory either.

I'm wondering if it might be an intermittent fuel pump failure vs. some debris in the fuel tank that is intermittently clogging the fuel pickup line. If so, would this possibly throw the computer into safe mode (due to a lean fuel condition)? I guess the other option might be some kind of intermittent computer failure.
Any ideas?

Sounds like the problem may be the IPDM/ER. This module fault has caused the same type of problems on several Armadas and Titans.
The IPDM controls several functions, including the fuel pump, and the ignition system.

As an additional note, throughout the 2 hours this afternoon that it wouldn't start, I could hear what I am assuming to have been the fuel pump running. What sounded like a small electric motor was coming from the top area of the fuel tank during every attempt to start the engine.
Also, is it possible to test the IPDM/ER for fuel pump and ignition function?

Just one more thing. If I found myself with some free time, could I swap the IPDM/ER from my 2007 Titan to check for function (are they the same between vehicles and years)?

Update:
It looks like the fail safe mode and the code 1122 were caused when I manually opened the throttle valve and held it open with the handle of a screw driver (in an attempt to make sure I was geting enough air into the intake). Apparently if any "debri" gets in the way of the valve it sends code 1122 and puts the ECM into fail safe mode.

So I think we can take those issues out of the mix. So we are back to the engine not wanting to start (I did get it to start several times last night, but it would eventually die). All the plugs are getting spark, and they all have fuel on them. Whether or not they are getting the right amount of fuel is unknown.
So it seems to me this is some kind of fuel delivery issue. Does it still sound like the IPDM/ER, or does this lean more towards the fuel pump/filter assembly?

Try switching the ECU relay with the Fog Light relay in the IPDM. This will tell if you have a bad ECU relay. There have been several failures of that relay.

So it happened again. My wife was driving down the road when it died, but it started right back up again, then 5 minutes later it did it again while turning into a parking lot. As it died all the dash indicator lights came on (the same ones as when you first turn the key on, prior to actually starting it). Again, it started right back up, and she was able to drive it home without another incident.

It has a half tank of fuel. I recently went through the ground wire connections that the service manual indicates are common issues. No issues found, cleaned them all and retightened them. Also, still no codes are being thrown. When it died there was no sputtering, just died instantly, and fired up without sputtered.

As I write this, my wife tells me that it also revved up for about 5 seconds while it was idling in the driveway, like someone was pushing on the gas pedal. She was out of the vehicle when it did it.

I've been trying to decide wether to change the IPDM or the fuel pump. Should I be focused on these two items, or should I start somewhere else?
Note: The last time we had a prolonged non starting problem, I confirmed that there was spark to the plugs, the plugs are in good shape and they had fuel on them (wether or not they were getting the right amount of fuel or they were just still wet from when the motor was last running I don't know).

日産のリコール
エンジン始動不良というマーチでしたが、クランキンングすると診断機が通信エラーになっていました。
火花も飛んでいなかったのでコイルの電源を調べると、キーONでは12Vですがクランキングと同時に7Vまで低下していました。
調べるとIPDM出力側でドロップしていました。
ECCS&IGコイルリレーの不良ではないかと思ったのですが、IPDMはリレーの設定がなくASSY交換しないといけないのでASYY交換してよくなりました。
