My pug 406 hdi 2l has gone into limp eml is..maf..fuse box..relay Customer Question My pug 406 hdi 2l has gone into limp eml is on checked it on machine it said maf changed that for second hand one then bk on machine got eml off started it up
and went ok for 2seconds then eml came on again prior to all this car cut out a couple of times and my heater blower stopped working checked fan that works but no power to it my mate tested fuse box with electric tester and one fuse in there had no power could this b a relay or under bonnet fuse. Customer: replied 5 years ago. The code we had was p0220 there was a modification we tried which was an earth on the maf sensor plug done that thanks. Dave
Now the P0220 is the TPS (throttle position sensor or pedal sensor, circuit B malfunction).
I suggest you make sure you have good ground on the MAF plug (two wires should be joined and connected to a good ground point).
If that would not work, you should check the pedal position sensor, just above the accelerator pedal, and make sure you have good ground under dash (there is a ground point near the accelerator pedal).
