Knowing The Circuit:
The device, crankshaft position (CKP) sensor initiates the 58X reference signal.
As the name suggests, 58 crankshaft pulses will be generated after the completion of every crankshaft revolution.
This (58X) reference signal is considered by the engine control module (ECM) for calculating engine rpm and CKP.

The ECM keeps track of the number of pulses on the 58X reference circuit and compares them with the number of camshaft position (CKP) signal pulses obtained.
On receiving any incoherent number of pulses by the ECM, DTC P0336 will be set at once.
